Camp Kieve-Wavus is seeking individuals for openings in this summer position for a deckhand, onboard the Snowgoose III, a 42 foot Commercial boat. The season begins in full swing from June 24 thru August 16. We leave from the Kieve -Wavus Bremen property on daily excursions of Muscongus Bay, tending lobster traps, mackerel fishing, seal, whale and bird watching to name just a few of the things we do each day. An average work week will be about 40 hours and usually begins at 9:00 am. - 4:30 pm. Some days may be longer and may include Holidays and Sundays depending on what is scheduled.
Part time work prior to June 24, 2006 will be made available.
Qualifications:
17 years or older
Physically able to do all duties associated with the operation of a Passenger vessel and seamanship.
Physically able to do all duties associated with the protection and evacuation of passengers during emergency situation.
Current CPR certification needed but is available thru Kieve if not current.
Red Cross First Aid certification a plus.
Successful passage of the mandatory U. S. Coast Guard random drug and alcohol testing program or current member of the Maritime Consortium.
Provide own transportation to and from Keene Neck Road, Bremen.
Enjoy being on the water, sun and mackerel fishing.
