Working with professionals at Maritime Funding Association of Maine, MITA administers one of the most sophisticated boat donation programs in New England. We accept seaworthy boats in operable condition that we will promptly sell or charter. The donor will receive a tax deduction and MITA will use the proceeds to support its stewardship of Maine islands. Our program is designed to provide a maximum deduction with a minimum of delay and hassle, and we will pay a commission to boat yards and boat brokers that refer a donation to us.

MITA also accepts donations of small boats in operable condition and resells them to benefit our stewardship programs. The boats listed below will directly benefit MITA upon sale. Maritime Funding Association of Maine maintains a complete list of donated sailboats and powerboats for sale or charter.
